Adam Mohamed

Spoken Word Artist

Adam Mohamed is an Irish-Sudanese spoken word artist. He also delivers workshops to young people in second level schools to encourage them to explore their creativity. Adam was described by The Irish Examiner as “one of Ireland’s most promising talents and is a creative force to be reckoned with.” He burst onto the spoken word scene at the end of 2020 with his spoken word piece and video called ‘Untitled’. His work was featured in the Festival of Now film festival and he also performed at St. Patrick’s Festival. Student engagement with Adam’s poetry has been featured in ‘Contemporary Poetry in Action’ with the JCT English team. Adam is currently working on a new album.

 
 

In our conversation Adam talks about what inspires him, how he crafts his work and the importance of collaboration with others. He also discusses the value of a creative space in the school day.
